The Ornamental Alphabet - ‘A for Cyclopes, Cupid, Conch, Cow and Castle’

The Ornamental Alphabet is based on a series of paintings I first made in 2022. Its an alphabet of association that takes inspiration from the highly embellished framed letters that were created during the Renaissance by artists such as Albrecht Dürer and Hans Holbein. In honour of those artists I’ve included lots of references to Greek Myth and Bible stories in my designs for each letter for you to decipher.
You can also buy the full alphabet as complete print.
Prints are archival quality, and 100% carbon neutral. Produced in London and fulfilled by Printspace who I’ve used for my digital printing for over a decade.
