Jaego’s

Directional Signage as Artwork

The family focused group of private members clubs OurHouse commissioned me to make some directional signage for their Jaego’s venue in Kensal Rise.

The venue has a blend of spaces, some are designed for adults, others for children.

So I decided to design a unique piece of type for each section of each floor to reflect the different tones of these spaces.

And to maximise the light filled space in which they would hang all of the lettering was rendered in 23.5 carat gold leaf.

The venue is filled with a brilliant art collection. And I wanted these panels to feel a part of that rather than simply directional signage.

So each panel is set in a oak stained timber frame and made to feel like a painting as well as simply information.

You can see a video of how they were made on my Instagram page.
